This conference, organized by Anna Johnston and Christopher Da Silva for all undergraduate, taught postgraduate and PhD students at Durham with at least an A2 level (CEFR) in a foreign language, will explore the connections between language, identity and transitions. Led by and for students with Anna and Christopher acting as facilitators, it will encourage students to collaborate across disciplines, by exploring the role played by languages in relation to and across the disciplines. Featuring a keynote from Dr Aziza Zaher, it will encourage students to collaborate across disciplines, by exploring the role played by languages in relation to and across the disciplines. Students will explore how languages develop and evolve in different contexts.
