In this seminar, we will share our experience of exploring our identities as teachers, language professionals, and expatriates, who have crossed cultural, institutional and virtual borders. Together we formed a ‘Professional Learning Partnership’ (PLP), through which we supported each other in processes of reflection and guided discussion to take a critical stance on our professional lives. Based on the format we have chosen for our PLP, we suggest a template for language teachers to help reflect on the ways in which our professional identities and well-being are entwined with cultural adaptation, intercultural sensitivity, and shifting role expectations.
